I remember reading (may have been FT) that due to the fire regulations in T5 Plane Food had restrictions on the design of their kitchen appliances - i.e gas was not allowed and everything had to be electric. Is this the case, or was it just my memory playing tricks on me?

Although not impossible to present good food using purely electric equipment (GNER used to be able to do it, occasionally ), it does make life that bit more difficult.
