I think Paris offers more to see in a short space of time and although it will be colder, I can speak the language and have always wanted to see Paris more than Lisbon. A few friends suggested Paris too (purely based on the city), and the exact flight times were available to Paris on my preferred date.

I will, however, be taking the advice in that thread and arriving as late as possible at the airport on my return, to avoid the undoubtable hell-hole that awaits me at CDG!
