You're going to do 70k's worth of mileage runs? Good luck on that one! Personally, I'm with
brp - I don't do any mileage runs. Yes, I did a couple of extra trips this year to make EXP, trips that I probably wouldn't have done otherwise but they were to interesting places that I wanted to go to and spent a few days there. I can see the point of doing a couple of quick MRs when you are close to making PLT/EXP....yes, but flying 70k miles just to get status makes no sense to me. Just my humble opinion of course
PS Probability of another AADER next year is about the same as the probability of a non-status AAdvantage member scoring an upgrade flying JFK-SFO
