Conversely, I think it's an excellent question. Someone who travels under 100k miles might still find some of the EXP benefits useful and worth paying money for. For example, this year I only flew 75k miles, all F cabin. I received 28 segment upgrades, but needed about 125 (some flights were on AE). That means I bought about 100 upgrade segments for a total of $3000. So right there EXP is worth $3000 to me. Then of course the 8 evips, each potentially worth $350+.
