I'm not sure I understand the question. If one is not going to fly, then EXP has no value whatsoever, and buying it is a waste of money. If one is going to fly, then earn EXP that way, and there is no need to buy it. We don't do any MRs because we feel that (for us) flying around just for the sake of earning status to fly around more is silly. We fly places we want to go, taking advantage of the EXP status we have earned, and earning the following year's EXP in the process. Not sure what benefit we'd get from paying for the status

Say the 75K a year traveler. Doesn't want to MR for 25K to get EXP but clearly has room to enjoy the benefits. He may be willing to pay. Perhaps a lot.
