I can confirm that this is normal.

I actually benefited even further from this promo in the past. BA was doing one of those "Fly two sectors in CW, and we'll give you a silly number of extra miles" promos, which I'd also signed up for.

So I took my upgrade to F, and not only did the F TP and cabin bonus post, but it also somehow counted as a CW sector for the purposes of the other offer
