Saw this in USA Today over the weekend. It made me wonder how many other airports where they can do this. I know at ONT gates are always empty and they just cut back on flights there. The downside would be during peak times the greater chance of you sitting on the taxiway waiting for a gate. "The good news is we are here early. The bad news is that another aircraft is at our gate."
