Not only is LAX TBIT arrivals a hole, the wait time to be processed can stretch to well over an hour. I have found the customs people to be exceptionally rude there, especially to the poor souls who don't have a good grasp of English. My last time through, I saw no fewer than three people reduced to tears.

On the upside, the new departure lounge at LAX is very nice.
