I agree with others. This will take an age to sort out and you will just be bashed from pillar to post.

I would just get the plastic out and get the next flight to HKG or wherever you want or need to go. Once you offer some plastic you will also find that suddenly everyone becomes more helpful and you'll be on your way very soon..... Was that flight really full? I bet that there was a seat somewhere due to a no show.

You can then sort it all out later. Get names of those you spoke to and keep that itinery printout!
