Well, while the argument stands, that it could be stolen, at the end of the day the highest lost per card would be 250$. Can you overdraft those cards? IIRC there is something stated in the T&C concerning loss of cards, something like "PLEASE SAFEGUARD THE CARD SECURELY AND TELL US IMMEDIATELY IF THE CARD IS LOST OR STOLEN.UNFORTUNATELY, NO REPLACEMENT POINTS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR POINTS DEDUCTED FROM YOUR LOST/STOLEN CARD BEFORE YOU NOTIFY US." So once reported, the card gets blocked. I guess the risk is minimal for the hotel and the owner of the card then. Reading this, it might be a wise idea to write down the card numbers seperately, so one can report them, if stolen or lost.
