LH seems to be doing quite well on the USA to India route, especially in premium cabins.
Perhaps LH are even able to fill their whY cabin at higher yields. Remember, LH has significant business to and from Germany to the US and also to and from Germany to India.
Therefore, they probably have no reason to discount the longhaul USA to India, especially in whY class.

You can however get good deals in LH C from the US to India if you book in advance ( Z fares, with a lot of tech business SFO to India... probably trying to sort out all those terrible call centres ! ).
