[After conducting a search, I though it might be prudent to start a thread on hotels that do not accept (or have difficulty accepting) the Any Hotel Anywhere card. Knowing what properties fall into this group can help one to better prepare for any future trips.]

Monte Carlo Las Vegas (and may possibly extend to the other properties in the MGM Mirage group: Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, Mirage, Treasure Island, New York New York, Luxor, Excalibur, Circus Circus, etc?)

I presented my Any Hotel Anywhere card at checkout. It was refused. Hotel policy is that cards that do not have the card holder's name embossed right on the card cannot be accepted for payment. After all, stated the checkout clerk, this card could be stolen.

Arguing with and trying to point out that the card was supposedly usable at any hotel that accepted AMEX was of no avail as "That's our policy." I had a flight to catch, but stated that I would take this up with AMEX/Priority Club. (In the end I paid with a standard AMEX CC, which they did of course accept.)

Any Hotel Anywhere? I guess not.
