I have multiple Indian visas in my passport and must admit I have never seen this requirement before. The India visa itself takes up one full page so as long as you have one more free page anywhere I am sure you will be fine.

The Indian embassy outsourced their visa operations a while ago I believe and from the reports I have read and heard it is a much slicker operation these days. There is a thread on it somewhere in this forum, will have a search when I get a minute.
