I figure since I've tried to get everything else with mini-USB I should reduce the charger count in my bag and get a mini-USB compatible bluetooth.
Turns out I went another way with it instead-- I got a Plantronics Discovery 925, which comes with a case that has a battery. So now I can carry the case and not have to charge the headset until I get back home. I can just use the case to top the battery off while I travel.
It's still one too many things to carry, but now I can charge the headset in my computer bag during the day without a power outlet, which is cool.
After having a Jawbone for 18 months (one in which the battery now has about half the talk time that it did originally), I've been considering the Plantronics 925. I had three annoyances with the Jawbone: Proprietary charger connection, needed to purchase a Jabra Eargel to get acceptable volume, and it has no carrying case.
The 925 seems to be getting very good reviews, and addresses at least two of the concerns I had with the Jawbone. Has anyone made the switch from the Jawbone to the 925?
