What you're describing is more of a high end 4* property, which, sadly, is light years away from a true 5* experience.
Hmm. Class and tact. Tact and class. You know, I think I'm glad that I grew up in a family where staying in any kind of hotel was a rare treat. Every time I check into a 4* or 5* hotel I feel pleasantly suprised to be there. There are a number of Westins that feel classy to me, including the Westins Tokyo, Whistler, Diplomat, Grand (Vancouver), Grand (DC), Palace Madrid, Bellevue (Dresden) and Rotterdam.

If I'd already grown so use to the Four Seasons in my childhood that I couldn't enjoy staying anywhere cheaper then I'd really have been deprived of a great deal of enjoyment in life.
