Does anyone know whether you can transfer out of Amtrak into a airlines mileage account for a DIFFERENT person. I used up my 25K limit, but need 50K miles to do an upgrade. I was hoping that my father could transfer 25K CAL miles, into his Amtrak account back into my UAL account. Obviously if this works it’s a great way to “gift” miles without the ridiculous cost of transfer ($275 for this transaction).
