I've found that it works pretty much as Jeff claims it does and provides mileage savings for DL customers for most days during peak-demand periods. I have yet to see anyone on this board provide much evidence to the contrary. Doomsday prophecies and conspiracy theories aren't enough to claim it as fact. People might be upset, but people tend to be pretty irrational about change, so I'm not going take the FT consensus as proof that it actually is a bad thing.

Feel free to prove Jeff wrong when he says it is a good thing, but don't just claim he is wrong or question his motives, and pass that off as proving it.
