Whew, I really seemed to have found a topic we all can identify with.
I don't think anyone has yet mentioned the in-room mini-bar that charges your account automatically if you open the door and accidentally move some bottle about .01 inch.
European hotels seem, on average, to be the worst offenders to me. I am getting very tired of the really patronizing remark, "Heh, heh, you Americans always complain but ALL hotel rooms in Europe are small."
Might have worked for the first ten years after WW2 ended, but no longer.
