The OP could have been on a Tango fare, and when finally given a boarding pass for a flight after all the IROPS, the boarding pass will often just indicate whatever the availability was at that moment in time, which in this case was likely Y/M/U, and hence Latitude.

I'm inclined to think this is the more probable situation given the wording of the OP, and asked the question upthread, but we won't know unless the question is answered.
