Just wondering if anybody knows what is the miles reconcilation process for OnePass miles retro-claim on travels made on KLM/Air France operated flight?

Specifically, how does OnePass tell KLM/Air France that a OnePass member submitted a retro-claim on travels made on KLM flight? There was no frequent flyer membership submitted at reservation or at check-in. All these reconcilation process seems very complex between these airline alliances and I wonder how airlines ensures no errors occur in these retro-claim processes.
