If you didn't use the card a lot, then it is unlikely they will waive the annual fee. As opposed to Citi that gives you 30 days after the annual fee was charged to call and cancel, Chase will not reverse the annual fee once the statement with the fee in it had been already generated. So, if you see online that Chase billed you with the annual fee, you have until the closing date of that statement to reverse the fee.
Just last month Chase gave me 30 days after the fee posted to cancel my United Airlines business card. I did, and the fee was reversed.
Anyone interested in this should just call the number on the back of the card. The rep will tell you the policy.
