The BDL-DEN flights should have NEVER gone away. I have no idea why United cut this and the BDL-SFO market after 911. BDL has major passenger traffic and 6 flights to ORD is not enough. (plus 1 or 2 to IAD)
The problem with congestion in my opinion is RJs. They are taking up too many of the slots as well when less flights and mainline should be flying the routes.
