I would contact Customer Care via telephone and actually have someone look into this. If you have the original email confirmation, I don't see how they can change the terms. If they do charge your credit card you can dispute the charge by providing the confirmation that clearly states the terms. I would also keep the cancellation confirmation email to prove you did it before Dec 6th.
