In contrast to others giving you grief about carrying your card... I would say, yes, SQ has made it difficult and, frankly, mildly unpleasant to access their lounges in the past (when not flying SQ).

The best example for me were the matrons in LHR who mentioned twice: "Don't you want to visit the Red Carpet Club? It's right around the corner!!!" or... "There is a Red Carpet Club, you know. You should really go there." ... to downright showing utter disdain for this card-carrying member of the Great Star Alliance.

But when all is said and done, I did have my card.
