Needing to get to another flight IS th every reason we deadhead around the country. It's all explained very well in the post above yours. An attendant certainly DOES have a right to "not be inconvenienced" if the reason is to be positioned for another flight; another flight which YOU could very well be booked on...... and were it late as a result of said FA being late or delayed due to luggage issues etc then people would be upset over that as well.

In the end, if you're deadheading you have priority boarding in order to get yourself on board, take your seat and ensure your luggage is stowed. This is all at the request of the airline and is part of our normal work-day.
