Biz Class reward strategy for a segment w/ only one J seat?
Not sure if there's any other strategy for this but thought I'd toss it out for suggestions...

We're trying to get ready to book two biz class reward tix from YVR-(YYZ-)MIA. No direct flights of course from YVR to MIA. Each segment seem to have two biz class seats except YYZ-MIA which only seems to have one (based my searches of a variety of dates around 355d ahead).

Is the best strategy to book the tix separately, with one in biz class all the way and the other ticket in biz class except for the YYZ-MIA leg... following up with Aeroplan regularly to see if another biz class seat opens up on that segment and/or following up at the gate?
Or should we just book our tix together with both seats on the YYZ-MIA leg in economy, again following up with Aeroplan regularly to see if two seats open up?
Any other ideas?
