If you are travelling with an infant 45 minutes are
most definitely not enough for your connection. I agree that you should change your schedule.
About "being driven by AF staff" - if this is done or not is entirely at the discretion of AF ground ops. They usually do it in cases when your incoming flight is late and they think you still can make the connection with their help. The chance is larger if there's more than just one or two people connecting to the same flight. Don't know if class of service plays a role, too, but I would consider it likely it does. If you are getting personal transfer or not is decided by AF ground ops a few hours before your flight into CDG arrives - there's nothing you can do to influence this process.
