You should be just fine. Frankly I would not bother with the bus. Instead I would clear customs, immigration at 2E and walk to 2C (the walk takes 3 minutes--they are connected by one corridor with a moving walkway). Then go back through immigration and security and you are set.

If your flight is on time and you get a gate at 2E you can do it in 30 minutes. Many times US flights dock at S3, which requires a shuttle train ride to 2E, which adds maybe 10 minutes (mostly the long corridor walks which you get in S3). It is now quite infrequent that long hauls have a bus arrival, where you park at a remote stand and are bussed to 2E (ugh). That adds probably 15 minutes to the process.
