Of course the lines were long, and in the FC/elite line the people in front of me had 4 bags each, were taking their time and had to pay for excess bags... So I waited. By the time I got to the kiosk I wasn't able to print my boarding pass (or maybe it was because of the original flight time). Regardless, I was able to get the attention of a CO gate agent who printed a boarding pass for me. She quickly whisked me away and was kind enough to walk me downstairs to the front of the security line (how nice!) because she said I would have never made it regardless. She handled my NYS drivers license and boarding pass to the TSA agent at the front of line, he looked at both and let me through, I went through security, and when I got to the gate elites were boarding so I walked right on.

Then the strangest thing happened. I gave the CO agent my boarding pass and as I walked down the corridor she came after me, saying, "Miss Speedy Gonzalez, come back here." I came back to her, and she said, "This isn't your flight" and handed me back the BP. Sure enough, it was for a later flight. But even weirder, it was not my BP. It was for FC (I had used miles and was in the exit row - but I hadn't really looked at my BP since the CO gate agent had it in her hand until I got to the TSA agent) and it had a very distinct MAN's name (I am clearly a woman) on it, followed by "Mr."

Obviously, I cleared this up, got my correct BP, and boarded, but I and the others witnessing this could not understand how I made it through TSA with the TSA agent looking at my NYS Drivers License with a FEMALE name that did NOT match the name on my boarding pass - all the way to the gate - and almost to boarding the plane. In fact, I was only stopped because of the wrong flight #, not wrong name. SCARY.
Strange (and does not inspire much confidence in the TSA).
