However..before we steer the thread to the TS/S forum, why were you so late to the airport? The FLL/EWR flights get updated departure times frequently, and it's always wise to be at the gate around the originally scheduled departure time because the ground stops for these flights are often adjusted or even released completely if Ops/ATC re-assigns the flight to the overwater route which bypasses DC airspace.

If the flight is delayed 2+ hrs, and the flight immediately prior is delayed, I'd even try to be at the airport very early to try and snag a seat on the delayed earlier flight.
It was not delayed 2+ hrs, I was not trying to get on an earlier flight, I was already checked in via auto-checkin but I just didn't have a hard copy of my BP and I had a small carryon. Yes, I know I should have gotten there sooner but I was at the airport about 50 min before departure. It just took me a long time to get to the kiosk because of the passengers in the FC/elite line in front of me.

The TSA agent should have at least noticed I was not male, as per the name on the BP. I believe he was young and African-American. I did not catch his name.
