From the SPG side - if they do not need total seclusion, The Atlantic in Ft. Lauderdale (Luxury Collection) faces the beach (from across the road), has a very good restaurant in-house (Trina) and offers easier access to cuty attractions (shopping, restaurants, etc).

The Diplomat in Hollywood is a wonderful beachfront hotel but is vey big and convention-oriented, so not the best place for a honeymoon IMHO.
