This post really is OT for this thread, but I wanted to brag without starting a new thread! Made it from W. 24th Street to JFK Terminal 8 in less than 25 minutes this morning. Got in the car at 5:05am, was on the JFK grounds at 5:25am, and at Terminal 8 before 5:30am. Perhaps my quickest JFK trip ever! Route, as you would expect at that hour, was Midtown Tunnel to LIE to Van Wyck.

For those interested in the higher end car services, this trip was with Elite Limousine (800-472-1123). I was picked up in a pristine Suburban (most of their cars are sedans, and reserving an SUV results in a surcharge of, IIRC, $15). The total charge was $79.56, including toll and tip (I did not add a tip; the service charge is build in to the fare).
