Actually I was wrong. This morning I asked to get moved to another room when I come back in the evening and they said they may not have any rooms left then. Unfortunately, my stuff weren't packed ...
Anyways, I will update once I get this resolved.

If there is no night manager though and the front desk isn't being helpful, make sure you do deal with it in the morning and do not spend a second night in those conditions.
As for your coworkers staying in a nicer place... Welcome to the corporate world. That is one of the reasons I left it and started my own business 5 years ago.
Yes, as I mentioned in my first post, I never travelled for business before and rarely stayed in city hotels. I usually vacation where I have friends and usually stay in their place (hey, I am young!)... I am very inexperienced.
I am definitely not spending another night there without HVAC. I already feel sick today... actually not my body but my feet are freezing and I am shaking... I talked to the manager here whose assistant arranged the hotel and we agreed that I'll talk to the manager tonight and if things dont get resolved I'll try to find another hotel even if it means it will cost more.
Thank you everyone for helping out.
