As you pose the question, I guess you are funding the trip yourself. So, unless you need points to push you through a barrier, buying an upgrade seems plain silly on such a short flight. I dare say £120 in Barcelona will buy you significantly better catering than any you'll find in CE

How is the tax increase handled on these buy-ups? Does the upgrade include the additional £10 APD, or is there another tenner to fork out?
