1. Are you a member in every possible frequent flyer program?

All the big 6, but none other than that except Midwest Express and Amtrak Guest rewards, and both were for one-time specific purposes.

2. Do you get the sweats and does your heart rate increase when you notice miles from a recent trip haven't posted to your account?

Yes, especially if there were irregularities that could cause problems.

3. Do you get excited to compare your status with others, while in Hotel lounges? No, because I don't have a peer group at work that I can go apples-to-apples with. I do often talk about benefits at certain levels to impress on the elite-less the importance of playing that part of the game.

4. Do you have color coded files, neatly organized, at home for all the programs your a part of?

In a way. I still use the colorful pocket protfolios from Wal-Mart)

5. Do you plan flights on carriers that have mileage promotions and that is not the most convenient or cost effective route?

I'm always on my own dime, so I don't budge very much on costs if others are offering it lower. OTOH, almost all my travel is discretionary, so I can wait out the sales. All the planning work goes into the creative itineraries.

6. When it comes time to get your preffered status renewed, do you get nervous that it may not go through?

No, but talk of "enhancements" and supposedly necessary changes always set of the alarm. Lately it seems from the airlines that it's been all fee-gouging and take-backs.

7. Is your preffered status title more meaningful to you than your job title?

Yes, ever since I left the corporate world.

8. Does every single one of your co-workers, friends, and family members know that you are top-tiered status on a any given airline?

They know I get special benefits; the mileage bonuses are kinds abstract to them, but getting to fly up front inspires some degree of envy.

9. Is us mail, that you receive, from airlines the very first that you open and read, even the small print?

I'll first check the back flap to see if it has a long-distance company name; those get tossed. Unless I've been tipped off through FT, I'll open it last or near-last because there just haven't been any big ofers covering low-tier fares recently.

and # 10,
10. The moment you receive your personalized luggage tags, denoting your preferred status, do you run straight to your luggage and attach them??

I try to think if any pieces need them and put the new tags on there.

If you've YES to any of these questions, our group can help. Call us at 555-555-1212. We'll help you beat the addiction. At your first meeting, we will burn recent mileage statements.
