And a very early start is recommended, it is the most popular spot in town, and the must-stop for first time visitors. However, as Mrs. Pickles says (quoting Yogi Berra), it is so crowded that nobody goes there anymore.

I was in Kyoto this weekend, and visited some really out of the way and seldom visited (but incredible) sights, which is what I always do, and the best way to really get into the atmosphere there.
