Not sure I understand the big hype about it. We are talking about phasing out about 8-10 aircraft with many more new to come. All the 735s are going next year as well (mainline of course) and they will just partly be replaced by bigger A320s, also a couple of A321s are coming as well next year.
LH's shorthoul fleet is partly pretty old so it's OK with me if they start replacing those birds
