Not sure what you mean by US (Air?) metal.
You can fly UA # 900 (=UA metal) to FRA and then connect on LH-metal to ZRH. The latter can be booked with a UA flight number.

A nice way to burn up the last SWUs. The only thing missing is the 3x bonus.
