Maybe they should have landed at the airstrip at Boeing! Still, you'd think if ever there would be a good place to land for a mechanical, SEA would be the place for a Boeing aircraft to get back en route.

SEA is actually better than BFI: A huge Boeing parts facility is just off the airport apron. The 777s are assembled at PAE which is about 40 miles north.
Perhaps while Boeing fixed the plane, they could give AA a loaner to complete the flight!
