If you can't get two AY accounts, how about joining another OW carrier's ff program and doing the scheme you described between the various carriers' programs?
LH does the same, but better - 2 yrs validity for each level, 25% bonus for silver (FTL) and gold (SEN) levels. I qualified SEN last month, meaning I'll be SEN until Feb/2011 and FTL until Feb/2013 without having to fly once.
I might look at MA as an alternative to AY, OW gold only 80k there and I DO fly the min 4 segments with them. I have no idea of their earn/burn ration, though.
