Agree. If you can transit into LHR with your typical 'ok' AA carry-on (such as my TravelPro 22"), the T5-T3 transit should not be a problem. My experience has been if you're going to be asked to check it, it will be at the origin, not in LHR during the T5-T3 transit.

BTW, I did a T5-T3(AC) transit last week (Friday morning) in about 50 minutes.

BTW2. Assuming you're coming in on BA54 (or one of its codeshares), it has a very good record of being ontime (83%) per flightstats.com. Even then, its average delay is only 12 minutes.
