I did this the last time I was there on two bags. One, was coming apart so this made it much more structurally secure, and two, it deters theft. It was 16$, and that included an insurance if there was theft or damage. The company that did it was very reputable, I saw the same company name, brand, forms, machines, outfits at multiple airports.
