Hrrm... they would have kept me as a customer, which would have made them a lot of money. It's not about getting a Escalade or a Corvette every time you rent, its about them showing you how they value your business.
Kind of like how Delta earns hundreds of thousands of dollars from me by upgrading me into 1st class, when I buy a coach ticket.
