Yes it is quite noticeable to this flyer who likes to squirrel away some books and mags on his side to grab and put back without needing to reach out. This has the added virtue of not disturbing the person in front by fiddling with the seatback pocket while he is sleeping.

I much prefer the 757 and, when I have only 767 choices, I try to go with CO where there is the proper five across configuration or, best of all, the NW 330s.
