jmoorfoot, I hope you understand A340 and A330 are different aircrafts. The A340 has 4 engines and A330 has 2. I don't quite understand why you use A330 description to against my words for A340. The original post was asking about J product on CA A340.

CA has a small and older A340 fleet, and at one point they were struggled to find routes to use them, and leased to CX.

CA also has a brand new A330-200 fleet, current number is 20, was ordered in July 2005. And CA is spreading them to a number of long haul routes. CA has made a new order in June this year for a further 20 A330-200 to be delivered in 2011-2014.
