I've complained over and over to Paypal about how deceptive the language regarding their fees for accepting credit cards. For lwo-volume customers, it's 2.9%. They quote lower rates assuming you're going to make an EQUAL amount of purchases as you do sales, and charge all your purchases on their Mastercard check card to glean the rebate.

It's like saying come eat at our restaurant for 5% of the menu price, not mentioning that you have to work a part-time job in the kitchen to pay for the savings.

Having said that, there are times when you absolutely HAVE to have a few extra miles for elite status or whatever and might be willing to pay 3%. It's just there are other ways to buy miles a lot cheaper.
