Well the intelligence that BA had was fairly strong. They'd have been insane to continue operating at that stage. Saudi were bound to make assurances they had much less to lose. The openskies deal was signed months ago so they cant really object.

There wont be any return to crews slipping in Saudi even if (although probably when)the flights return.
