Of course the good guys far, far outweigh the bad apples. Zero question about that.

However, think about things for a moment here. The whole TSA aviation security model has trained Ma and Pa Kettle (and the media) that we only get one chance. One opportunity for a bad guy to do the deed and we're done.

Does drug smuggling rise to the level of taking a 747 out of the sky? Of course not. The drug running is not necessarily the story, it's the glaring loophole that is the point of the story.
