Good place to go audition products, write the model numbers down, then go home and price-shop online.
A close family friend was one of those employees. He knew nothing whatsoever about high tech so they started him, of course, in the computers department. From there over to home theater and then into TVs. After a short 4 years he was the best performing sales rep in the store. He got a heads up about the firings and went to work for a wireless provider and is a the top regional rep for them. When I told him about CC going Chapter 11 he did a happy dance and bid those "effing .......s a quick ride into hell!"

heh My latest BB experiences haven't been as good. A brand new store just opened near us and let me tell you, those eager beaver newbie sales reps are on you as soon as you walk in the door! I almost had one girl follow me into the men's room as she was going over the blather about them not being on commission, if I have any questions yada yada yada.

At least they mean well and don't greet customers with a snarl like at a nearby CC store.
