I am a Prem Exec and have had great luck using the 500 mile upgrades to/from HNL lately. I flew two r/t SFO/HNL in January and was upgraded on all legs, 3 cleared 72 hours in advance and the last one 24 hours in advance. There were empty seats in F when the doors closed.
